How do you know if you are hiring a quality power sweeping company?
If you are in the U.S., a good place to start is to make sure they are members of the North American Power Sweeping Association or NAPSA. NAPSA is the standard when it comes to verifiable quality and ethical standards in the power sweeping industry. That’s why we are proud to partner with NAPSA and require that all 1-800-SWEEPER Partners be NAPSA certified.
Who Is NAPSA?
NAPSA is dedicated to providing beneficial support to the membership and enhancing services to the power sweeping industry. The North American Power Sweeping Association (NAPSA) is a nonprofit association comprised of hundreds of contract sweepers, service companies, sweeping equipment dealers, manufacturers, and suppliers. NAPSA is dedicated to providing beneficial support to its membership and the sweeping industry.
What Does NAPSA Do?
NAPSA provides training and certifications for the power sweeping industry. NAPSA also develops the standards that set out the basic guidelines for best practices in power sweeping.
Sweeper School & Certification
NAPSA offers three programs and certifications:
- Certified Sweeper Operator
- Certified Sweeping Manager
- Fleet Basics
A power sweeping vendor can have two levels of certification:
- Certified Sweeping Manager (CSM)
- Certified Sweeping Operators (CSO)
Why is Certification Important?
A badly trained employee’s mistakes can be incredibly costly, which is why training is one of the best investments a sweeping business can make. When selecting a power sweeping company, look for ones whose employees demonstrate dedication to their craft by completing courses and earning certifications.
